I’ve tried a lot of headphones, and the Kennerton Arkona stands out as one of the best when it comes to bass impact and overall energy. It delivers a deep, powerful low end, but without drowning out the rest of the sound. The balance feels just right—bass-heavy but still refined. If you listen to metal, EDM or Rap, this is a headphone that really brings those genres to life.
Sound: Powerful, Engaging, and Addictive
The Arkona delivers a rich, dynamic, and immersive sound that makes you want to keep listening. The bass is deep and punchy, yet it doesn’t overwhelm the mids or treble. Compared to other headphones I’ve tried:
- More controlled than Heartland Planar and Heartland Dynamic—those two have a bit too much at times. Kennerton Heartland Dynamic has more sub-bass, and Heartland Planar has more mid-bass punch, but both sometimes overdo it.
- More bass than Audeze LCD-24, LCD-X, and Final Audio D8000 Pro—this thing is a bass monster.
- Even with all that bass, the mids and highs still shine through. The treble is crisp, and electric guitars have that perfect sparkle that makes metal sound amazing.
One thing to note: Vocals are not the main focus. They’re not bad at all—actually, they’re high-level—but in the grand scheme of the Arkona’s sound, they take a step back. If you compare them to the Vinneta, you’ll hear that the Vinneta gives vocals a bit more presence, while the Arkona is more about the low-end power and overall energy. It’s not that the vocals are recessed, just that they’re not the star of the show.
